Project Details
The centerpiece of this redesign is the modern vessel sink vanity, which not only adds a sleek aesthetic but also simplifies cleaning and maintenance. Extended to wrap around the wall, the new vanity offers increased counter space and storage, while a wall cabinet above the toilet provides additional organization.
The walk-in shower was upgraded with a frameless glass enclosure, a recessed niche for toiletries, and a folding wall-mounted bench that provides convenience without compromising space. Natural sunlight from the skylight enhances the overall warmth of the room, drawing attention to both the vanity and shower. A painted accent wall paired with a backlit mirror creates a striking focal point that elevates the design.
Design Challenges & Solutions
The client wanted to keep the existing layout while maximizing storage and functionality. By reconfiguring the vanity to extend along the wall and introducing a wall cabinet, the design eliminated clutter and improved usability. In the shower, the recessed niche and folding bench added both practicality and comfort while keeping the space feeling open.
Final Result
The transformation delivered exactly what the client envisioned: a bright, bold, and clean bathroom that balances modern style with functional upgrades. The result is a space that feels spacious, organized, and contemporary, while maintaining a timeless appeal.
Key Features:
- Design Elements: The simple, sleek design of the vessel sink that sits on top of the vanity has a modern appearance. The shape of the vessel sink makes it easy to clean and maintain. The existing skylight brightens up the space and the sunlight shining down highlights the shower and vanity, adding a sense of warmth.
- Functional Improvements: To improve storage within the bathroom the new vanity was made larger to extend around the wall. A wall cabinet was also place above the toilet to maximize storage and decrease clutter. Within the shower a recessed niche was put in to create a space for the clients to place their soaps.
- Special Features: A wall mounted folding bench was placed inside the shower, allowing for the client to utilize it without the bench making the space feel more crammed or tight. There is a painted accent wall behind the mirror, making it stand out when paired with the backlit glow built into mirror.
- Client Feedback: “We are BEYOND PLEASED with the remodeling of our ensuite bathroom. What we had before was functional but consisted of a small "out of the box" corner shower and a lot of dated 1990-era blue tile. What the dRemodeling team delivered was a beautifully clean, stylish and bold design with a large custom, frameless shower, accent tiles behind the vanity and special touches throughout. Getting from start to finish took about 8 weeks but it was definitely worth every penny and worth the wait. It's worth noting that the dR team was very professional and thoughtful throughout the process...always courteous and as inobtrusive as possible while protecting the surrounding staging and work areas. We're so happy that we're planning a kitchen remodel for 2025!!”
